Crown Reductions and Thinning
Trees often grown too large for their position, so instead of removing it we can reduce the overall size of the tree to better fit its location. It may mean the whole crown needs reducing in size or certain parts of the tree to bring it back into a better shape.

Sometimes the tree's crown can benefit purely from a thinning, where we would selectively remove branches making the crown less dense and allowing more space and light into the tree.
Crown Cleaning and Lifting
Crown cleaning a tree is the term we use for removing deadwood and conflicting branches within a trees crown.
Deadwood in trees is quite common and can be a big safety issue. That's why at NTC we recommend having your tree inspected and if necessary crown cleaned.
